The Omega Seamaster Professional 2542.80 300M is a quartz variant of the 2531.80 "James Bond" watch. We got our hands on another speciment of this dressy diver, and here's what we think:
A while back we did a video review of the 36mm little brother of this watch here. However, the full size version deserves it's own short review.
It's amazing what the change in personality that occurs when you change the bezel insert from a functionl blue to a dressy metallic color. Along with a slightly smaller case (39mm vs 41mm) this practically the same as the watch below:

The combination of the silver dial and the blue-but-almost black wavy dial makes this watch a much dressier alternative than the "Blue Bond". If we had funds to spare, we'd have one of each. The 2542.80 for dressy occasions, and the 2531.80 for casual.
